Lexus Unveils All-New 2014 IS Sedan

The start of a new year can puts the end to the holiday spirit but but can still bring surprises like Christmas morning.

On Tuesday, Lexus pulled the covers off its all-new 2014 IS sedan at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.  I will now ask the skeptics who are wondering what makes the 2014 IS any different from the 2010-13 models to repeat after me… PER-FOR-MANCE. When asked what his approach was in developing the 2014 IS, chief engineer Junichi Furuyama stated that he “adopted an entirely different approach by making an entertaining driving experience a major premise behind all aspects of performance.”

Junichi went on to say that he “first established the pleasurable driving experience owner’s desire, and then developing the individual performance elements to support it.”  Lexus Group Vice President Mark Templin went on to add that “The all-new IS kicks it up a notch with true sport sedan driving dynamics, state of the art onboard technologies, and an all-new design that makes it look fast even when it’s standing still.”
