Jeff Koons Designed A Superyacht

A superyacht designed by famous American artist Jeff Koons alongside experienced yacht designer Ivana Porfiri has now been unveiled. The 115-foot long vessel, named Guilty, was commissioned by Greek-Cypriot industrialist/contemporary art collector Dakis Joannou. Inspired by the “dazzle dazzle” camouflage used by the British navy during WWI, the boat’s exterior has been painted with an intricate geometric pattern with the intention of creating a size-altering optical illusion. The top of the boat also features a large image of Iggy Pop as a “Contemporary Dionysus”. On the inside, Joannou has housed some of his extensive art collection, including a large work by David Shrigley, alongside all the usual lavish mod-cons.
